Mind Cafe

Yep, our first Pretzel outing since PMC Camp. Haha! But, quite a few of them withdrew from the FOC. So yea, it's left just the small group of us. Haha!

We went to Mind Cafe near The Cathay. Had our lunch there and played board games. Some of which we played/tried-to-play is Dirty Mind, Monkey(main photo), SORRY(which we ended up never play), Snorta and last of all Taboo.

Snorta is still as funny as hell and I won first. Woohoo! :D Haha! Dirty Mind is quite a nice game too, just that the clues are really gonna make you think dirty. ;D Taboo was the funny one, kept linking it to Gloria. HAHAHA! LMAO for the whole session. Haha! Wtf.

Pretzel: Hou Jun, Zhong Rong, Ling Li, Gloria, Kai Chung, Calvin, Seng How(O.C), Kai Yang, Clarinda, Han Theng(Senior), Nicholoas(Senior).

SORRY, we never play this. Haha!

Snorta!

Taboo!

Creating, editing, cutting, mixing, exporting

Morning was dedicated to FM09. Haha! Then, afternoon was doing the "assignment" which was given by Mrs Lee.

"What assignment?" She wanted us to do something which will tell the freshmen about how the GPA system works, so yea a few of us came up with doing a comic strip in a video. So was just getting the strips done, finding the suitable music and some editing here and there. It will be shown to the freshmen and lecturers during FOP(Freshmen Orientation Programme) for our division only.

Bored till tired

This is the first draft of my timetable for next semester! But it is not that slack, Wednesday will be IS-day. Either Thursday or Friday afternoon will be my Diploma Plus modules. Oh well, I still love it. Haha!

Back to tending the booth, was playing FM09 again for almost the whole day and doing some stuffs for Mrs Lee. SIANED!

The inner dragon

Went back to school to tend the booth again. 1 person came to register for the camp. Haha! She is a foreigner though. So we were just basically doing our own stuffs with our laptops. After seeing Chin Kuang playing FM09, I sort of have the urge to continue my game too. Haha!

It started pouring when we are about to go home, so had to wait yea. Han Theng shared with us some facts and funny stories. Thought about it for quite sometime too. =/ Going back tomorrow maybe.

somehow missing the times I had in NPSU FOC. they are having camp now.

What a Sentosa outing

Early morning trained down to Harbourfront to meet up with the fellow SLs for a mass SL outing to Sentosa. We were split into groups and we have to create cheers? (like wth) Then was a telematch and it is really horrible. What we do for the telematch? Eating bread, wasabi(I didn't), turning for 20 rounds(which most of us cheated), drinking chili water, putting honey on your body(on my hands only) and jump into the water. -.-

Then had our own games and played soccer! Had lunch and had tug-o-war. It was so much better. Lol. Our group most zai liao, we defeat all the groups and they gave us an all-star team and we eventually lost. Haha! So just slacked there and buried Gloria there and creating obscene stuffs on her. Haha!

Had a big appetite for dinner too - PastaMania, grass jelly drink and char kuay tiao. :D

Now both my legs have some abrasions, a blister from my new slippers and a blister on my left hand 4th finger. -.-

AVIVA Ironman 70.3km Triathlon

It all happened on Saturday... ...

Last minute decided to go ECP to thon since the first train on Sunday is 6am and we(Erwin, Chin Kuang, Kai Chung, Daniel) had to report at 6am at Eunos MRT. Was finding the bus to go ECP from Kallang so walked quite a distance till the stadium and boarded.

Met up with Erwin at Marine Parade CC and we walked to ECP McDonald's. It was around 10pm~11pm only so we just sat at McDonald's slacking and chatting while some of them ate. Got bored and got out to walk to one end of ECP, trying to find Carls Junior(our meeting place). All we see is just chalets, tents lying around in the open or isolated areas and other fast food restaurants. So we went back to McDonald's to sit again. :)

It's kind of a routine for us to get out and in of McDonald's for the whole night. Lol. Next, we went to the other end of ECP which we never walked to the very end cause we never realise that area... and back to our "base". We had nothing to do and decided to check out the receipts we had in our wallets. LOL! I disposes all of them there. :P

Went out and back again and had my coffee there. Asked around and found out where is Carls Junior and walked our way there, got changed had a small breakfast and off to our Drinks Station Section A. And yes, Area A of ECP! -.- It is damn far, near to the end of ECP I guess.

So was just filling up the cups with plain water or 100+ for the runners to cool or replenish themselves. I am the one who gives the plain water to the runners, so as you can see, they are running at fast speeds and you will eventually being splashed with water. Luckily I am not giving out 100+. Haha! Some runners will just ignore your hand and bang into your hand with that cup of water, while some of them would goggle in their mouth and spit it out. Some will drink and just throw it at the sides near you. Lol.

Quite a few funny things happened luh. When the first few runners ran past us is that, one of them wanted water but he was given 100+ and he just poured it over his head to cool himself down. LOL! All of us there was laughing damn hard. :P Halfway through, I was resting and decided to refill the cups, one runner just came to me and took the near-full 1.5L bottle which I was holding and ran off to cool himself down. Haha! I was so stunned there.

After the whole event, my shoe is dirty again with 100+ and plain water all over. My legs were also sticky. Haha! >.< The 100+ is not those you find in stores, it is self-mixed with 100+ syrup and water. Lol. It tastes pretty weird even though it is non-carbonated. It tasted like H20 + Pocari Sweat, and quite sweet. o.o

We decided to cab home. Went for my early dinner at YCS coffeeshop and went home to sleep from 6pm till this morning 9am, my PB so far. LOL!

The lots-of-receipts that I dispose away at the McDonald's tray. :D

The lots-of-cups-of-drinks on the table, 100+ is on the other side(main photo up there).

Official Pass!

3.9091

Yep, 3.9091 is my GPA score for this semester! WOOHOO! :D As expected, I got pulled down by my 2 IS modules. Zzz. Results as follows!

Applied Statistics
A+

Communication Toolkit
B+

Computer Programming
AD

Electrical Technology
A+

Engineering Mathematics 3A
AD

Individual And The Community
B+

Introduction To Advanced Maths
B

I wasn't expecting a 'B' for IAM, as well as 'AD' for COMPRO. But I was expecting an 'AD' for ELTECH. Hehe! Oh well, hope to maintain such results for my 3 years in NP. :)

So today went back to school to help tend the booth for MDE FOC registration and not even a fly came from 9am to 5pm. So we are just entertaining ourselves with ghost stories about the Red House and played games. Haha! Was quite sleepy halfway and it was damn warm.

Battle of the mouth

Went to FICO with Wai Yau & Co, as well as Calvin and Hong Yong. Played all the way from 12pm to 5pm(for the 3 of us seniors). Hehe! Yea, we are getting old. 2 Malay guys just don't clique with our playing style and just kept bullshitting at a few of us. Haha!

Now I'm quite tired though, and I studded myself on my left knee. -.- It's blue-black already now. Zzz. Now I should wear soccer boots to FICO next time as I don't really have any rubber fillings in my shoes after the session. Wahaha! :D

Tomorrow results out! Woots! :)

Bolt

Watched Bolt. A movie which shows the life of a acting animal. Lol! Hmm, what about today... I slept till 11am and still feeling sleepy. :P Bored at home. Blah. This Sunday's Aviva Ironman helpout. :) But haven't received any final details yet. o.o

That's all for today! BORING!

Yay!

Finally the swimming ended! Today was a very short day, just all the finals and took about 2 hours to finish up all the events. Nice. Now, we these volunteers may be called up again for the next swimming meet in June. Lol! Wah, another tiring one~~~ >.< But the people there are quite fun too. Haha!

Maybe gonna help out in YOG too, but will miss lots of lessons even though we will be excused. Haiz, don't really know wanna go anot. =/

Semester 2 results coming out on this Friday, should be able to meet my targets for my core modules. Aiming for at least 3.8 GPA. :)

Till the last breath

Day 3 at SSS. Woke up early in the morning again and I know that I am seriously not getting enough sleep. Haha! Today's quite slack, but I kept dozing off at times. Hehe!

Overall, it is still somewhat similar to those events which I had volunteered before. Average it out, the time we sacrificed and the amount we earn is probably about the same. :) So, it isn't that bad, just that the volunteering hours is very long in one shot. >.< Tomorrow's the last day and is for like a few hours only. WOOTS!

Congrats to Andy who got into one of the finals which he didn't want to. HAHA! :P Good luck to him tomorrow!

On a pirate ship

I finally found SOME time to blog.

So, I was involved in a volunteer helpout at Singapore Sports School, a swimming event in which Andy was there too as a competitor. The shifts looked short, so I decided to volunteer. But as soon as the first day of work, we were released at around 12am before we left home and had to report at 7am today and work till 9pm(which was supposed to be 1pm only). -.- And my handphone alarm cocked up today, not ringing I think. So was very late. Haha!

Okay, so what do I do there? This is the real SAIKANG job! Haha! We were the "Basket Line" people. So we basically see them strip in front of us(HAHA!!!), and help the swimmers to transfer their clothings/belongings to another basket while they are swimming. In simple sense, we are moving their SHOES(stinky), clothes, jackets, shorts. Haha! Saw Tao Li also and we were joking that we sell her slippers on eBay. LOL!

It will be another 2 days, Sunday and Monday. Tomorrow's the full shift while Monday is the morning shift only. Phew. Today is DAMNNNNN SHAGGGG!

Feel me

My body is seriously not in the right condition. It is aching everywhere. Haha! Yea, my movements were pretty slow and cautious. Lol. I guess I had a phobia on coldness already. I feel the coldness very fast last night while sleeping. Haha!

Woke up to watch the second leg of ManU vs Inter at 3.45am. Although I just came back from camp, but I don't really feel tired while watching. Oh yes, 2-0 to ManU!!! :D Quarter-finals' up next!

Watched Twilight just now. The first hour of the movie was quite boring I guess, was just feeling like dozing off and losing attention. Hehe! Only the confrontation made me quite awake. :P Modern vampires can shimmer in the sun, diamonds are vampires' best friend too? Lol!

And I finally know the meaning behind the Pikachu cheer/song in the camp... Haha!

Peer Mentoring Camp'09

I have a new name there - Something Wrong(something "Rong"). Yea, they only remembered the "Rong". Lol!

Okay, so Monday booked into the camp at Bottle Tree Park, Yishun. Our sleeping/gathering area is in this sheltered place at the entrance. The people I know in my group will only be Seng How, Kai Chung and Gloria. o.o Our instructor is Yao Xing(a guy), which Seng Hao is unhappy of as he wanted a girl. Haha! And throughout the whole of 3 days, it was just more of lectures(in a educating way, not scoldings). Yea, so most of the time we are just stoning away. Our clan name will be Pretzel, that snack. :)

First day was just ice-breakers and some games which some of us need to try to carry out the games on a SL-to-freshmen situation at the game station. And yea, it was raining heavily the whole day. We also have to come up with a mass dance which will be selected during campfire, which will in turn to be our FOC mass dance. Our group's song is The Ketchup Song. So was just thinking about the dance steps and was some simple campfire preparations after dinner. Also, I finally remembered the 嘻唰唰 dance steps. Lol! And they also taught us the Chori Chori dance which is exactly the same as the YCS councillors are dancing! :) Too bad there isn't enough time to teach us the Para Para. Night games was Candle War, very different from YCS.

Second day was a really long, tired, fun, bonding day. Lol! It was Amazing Race in the morning around the Yishun estate. It was pretty fun as you can explore Yishun estate as well as some facts about some interesting places there. We can only depend on walking, no buses and MRT. Haha! So we practically just walked and walked and walked for 3 solid hours. Yea, quite tiring.

After lunch was the Endurance Training. It is fun and DAMN tired. First, we went for a short run then was purely physical training and the instructors were treating us like NS-men. Lol! Yea, and we have to do everything the perfect way since we are leaders! Good thing the YCS councillors were not trained this way. :P Anyways, we did push-up, blurpies. And the most tiring one, I don't know how to explain - whereby you stretch out your both arms parallel to the ground and clap about your head with your arms straight. Sounds easy, but after doing so much PT, that is sure gonna sore your arms. Learnt some military drills too, cool.

Last of all, the most violent and educational one, should I say. Haha! It was Spread and Squeeze. You and your group mates will cuddle together, interlocking your hands with each other. Then, the instructors and our MDES seniors will tear you guys apart, taking down as many people as possible. Suddenly, they turned crazy and forcing you to give up and break the bonds in your group. So the whole scenario you can imagine is, everybody is being pulled everywhere with lots of force, at the same time, securing the bonds so that nobody is being pulled out from the group. Lots of people got bruises everywhere on their arms and injuries. As you can see, this is really a good team-bonding game but very very violent. Most fell onto the ground(sandpit) and they poured water at us. Haha! I had some blue-blacks and some bruises on my arms. Heard from my friend that my left arm was nearly dislocated by one of the instructors in the middle of the struggle. LOL! I seriously don't feel anything wrong. O.O

Campfire was just a simple one, with no fire cause it looked like it's gonna rain. And yes, our final FOC dance is selected and it was another group's dance - That Thing You Do. And yes our group's dance was very cocky. HAHAHA! Was seriously impromptu dance steps which seems comedic. :P

Today's the last day, not much happening just photo sessions. Lol! Overall the camp was good. Food was the best CAMP FOOD ever! It is in a buffet style and it is still WARM, not packet food! :D Haha! My sleeping bag was wet as it rained on the first day and water seeped in. So I was sleeping on the hard concrete ground for the 2 nights, with no protection and I was shivering from 4am till 7am. Haha! Was very torturing, the coldness! >.< It was bloody cold for the 2 nights! We also saw the MRT track service train every night. It was named as the "ghost train". Haha! So yea, our activities are mainly at the entrance of the park, never really went into the park itself. Whole body was aching now due to the PT. Haha!

The Ketchup Song - Las Ketchup

That Thing You Do - The Wonders

Fly away

Had a volunteer's briefing at Toa Payoh Stadium's stands for the upcoming Aviva Ironman Triathlon. Quite a unusual spot for a briefing huh? Lol. Okay, so wait for quite long before we were being briefed. Zzz.

Going for camp on this coming Monday till Wednesday at Bottle Tree Park in Yishun. o.o Also, planning to go for the Wuhan trip during my next semester break in September/October. My parents sounded very encouraging for me to go. Lol. If I were to go, I will not be able to go back to YCS for Teacher's Day cause I will be flying on the 31 Aug if I am not wrong. Oh well, depends on the time of flight. Haha!

Long ride

Okay, met in school first before boarding the bus to Pasir Panjang Ferry Terminal to board the ferry to Pulau Semakau. The ferry was a small one, and the tide is rough today, pretty bumpy for the whole ride to and fro. Had a bit of giddiness though. Haha!

So yea, the island was a reclaim land. Nothing much about it though, just showed us around int he mini-bus on the island. Our tour guide is much of a joker. Haha! Back to school and went for lunch cum dinner at Makan Place. Ate pretty full there, didn't had our lunch.

Then took more than an hour to reach YCS. -.- It was jamming everywhere from highway to the long stretch of road from JSS to YCS. So walked to Cheers and bought some chocolates to bite. Hehe!

And yes, I had signed up for the PMC camp for my division. That will be my last chance to become a student leader for a camp. They were also lacking campers for the camp though. Lol! Losing interest/faith in NPSU? o.o But certainly not the fun. :)

Big new toy

Taken at the delivery center carpark

Woots! Today went to collect the new car from Toyota! Never went with my family to the showroom the other time cause... I am having lessons. So yea, my first time in this car. Haha! Pretty luxurious inside and spacious. Built-in Bluetooth was cool. :)

Tomorrow's field trip to Pulau Semakau with friends and lecturers. Experience and CCA point. ;D Oh well, I am starting to rot at home now.

I wanna get a driving license! xP

Just play

It was a hot day for soccer today. We booked the court, but eventually others still come in to play. There is no solid proof that we booked it anyways. Haha! Not many people at the court though, just a group of people at both ends.

To those who are going for the NPSU Trial Camp, have fun yea? Although I can't make it. >.<

Transporter 3

Today was dead tired after watching the Carling Cup final till 2am. >.< Whole morning was terrible, tired and nothing to do, staring at my screen. Hehe! Had lunch, went for a sleep.

Watched Transporter 3. Very nice show, action-packed and stuffs. Haha! Love such movies. Audi cars are nice, especially those bigger CC ones. :) Their engine sound is... sweet. Dream car - BMW or Audi. ;X

Gonna have dinner with my father's colleagues again. Woots!

Shall stick to it

For my soccer style, I can only play field. Haha! I like to accelerate and boost rather than taking short jerking-sprints. Hehe!

Okay, so today went to FICO again. Rubber pieces got into my shoes again, gonna take some time to get them out again. Haha! Not really a good day for me to play street soccer. =/ It rained heavily and despite the shelter, rain is still pouring in luh. Haha!

Okay, that's all for today, Wednesday's another soccer-day in NP! Hopefully it won't rain yea? :)

Oh ya, saw Ms Lim PL today at the Boon Lay interchange too! Never changed at all? Haha! Afian went to stalk her. :P But she never saw us~
