Alright, shall round up whatever I had done and blah blah blah in Yuan Ching all these 4 years. :)
Secondary 1: Just a quiet boy
Oh well, I cried when I got my PSLE results of 212. Yuan Ching was my 4th choice and I thought to myself: Just let it be, maybe it is not that bad. I had some silly thoughts about stuffs around me for the first few days of my secondary school life.
Firstly, it was on the first day of school. We were told to assemble in the canteen and I saw this big guy sitting opposite me, quite a distance away. Then, I was telling myself: Hopefully he is not in my class, he looks like a big bully. To my surprise, he WAS in my class. His name was Christopher. Hehe! No offence! :) Also, I knew about this wonderful teacher named Ms Lim, our form-teacher.
Secondly, I was doing Maths halfway, Ms Lim came to approach me. She told me that I was nominated to be a councillor by her, and told me that I have potential. And so, she asked if I am interested in it. Here goes my silly thoughts again... I told her "Can I go home and ask my mother?". Come to think of it, it IS really silly and funny. Hahax! I couldn't believe that I actually said that. xP I went for the interview but was not selected to be one.
I joined soccer along with Calvin. Both of us were kinda surprised that we are the only Chinese from Express. I just hope that we all can clique together as a team. Through playing of soccer, only then I mixed more around with the guys in my class - Edward, Ze Yi, Kamal, Calvin, Cheng Hao, Gabriel. Sorry if I left out your name. My team made it through the inter-class soccer tournament's quarter-finals, but was thrashed 4-0. It was quite disappointing for me. :(
We stayed back everyday to play soccer on the field, behind the canteen(which was illegal) or the back court. We would not leave until it was about 5pm. The first year in Yuan Ching was fun as we don't really mattered if there was exams. I mean, we don't really panic about it. :)
Secondary 2: Got the hang of it
Mdm Rozita was our form-teacher this year, and the whole class was like frustrated about it. But, we still can't change the fact that she was our form-teacher. So yeah, we have to live with it. Then, knew about another good teacher - Mr Liew.
A few more guys in our class are influenced to play soccer with us, and some of them are still playing till today - Haziq, Darren(freestyler), Zhi Kai.
Soccer trainings were getting boring and meaningless for Calvin and me. We tried to sneak out of school to avoid being seen by the teacher in-charge - Mr Mathews. He is a fierce guy when it comes to serious stuffs. :) If not, we would find excuses to skip trainings. Maybe it's because of the players of the other streams which somehow discriminate the Chinese of Express streams, which we felt so. Before we left the team, we still managed to play 1 friendly match against Overseas Family School. We were thrashed 5-3. We came on as substitutes after 5 minutes. Although I was slightly praised by Mr Fadzel after the match, I guess that match is enough for me to consider quitting soon. I only got the ball ONCE in the second half. You might say, "Go ask for the ball then", but I tried. So, quited without regrets in early second semester.
One fine day, Calvin and I were helping Mr Liew to do some stuffs. Out of the blue, Mr Liew asked us if we wanted to join the SL(SportsLeaders). Of course, we agreed. It was really fun in the SL with our great seniors like Amran, Illias, Sufiyan, Faizal. I always thought that Uzair was one of us, but he was not. Nevertheless, he still mixed around with us a lot. What's more, they play soccer. :D I felt that I was influenced by them of being crappy for the first time. :)
Well, 2E1 has to part due to the streaming, whether you like it or not.
Secondary 3: Oh well, new classmates again.
I was promoted to 3E1 along with some of my friends and Ms Lim was our form-teacher again. :) All of us have our own cliques from 2E1, 2E2 and 2E3. We don't really mix well, except for those who play soccer. Well, we only felt united for once. We did not do Ms Chee's homework and we were asked to sit outside the class to finish up. The class is left about 10 people. :P
I know about Andy only this year as we don't really mix with each other for the past 2 years. I guess it is through the Secondary 1 Orientation Programme. But I don't think I was serious about it as I went off to play Captain Ball with my seniors instead of leading the class. Hehe! :)In this year's inter-class competition, we finally won it. All thanks to Kamal, Gabriel, Damien, Steven and Ko Hein. We nearly lost it in the finals. It was rough for me throughout the tournament on the pitch and off the pitch. Troublemakers everywhere. -.-
Attended my first Student Council camp as the SL are to organise games for them. Overall, was cool. Especially when the SL are helping Amran to find his handphone in Jurong Lake Park. We also played soccer at the basketball court and really had fun there with my seniors.
Also, there is a big intake of SL members towards the end of this year, majority are girls! Only 2 pitiful boys there. :P
Secondary 4: Full Circle
Only this year, I really worked closely with Andy for the Secondary 1 Orientation Programme. It was a successful one. 1E3 was great to lead, never gave us problems. :) I never slept during the camp as there were ghost stories to be shared throughout the night. Also, this was the last time being together with my SL seniors. A few more crappy boys joined SL this year.
It was only this year, I mixed with my juniors in school. Majority of them are from 1E3 and 1E1. I really forgot how I know about my juniors from 1E1. But they are really some bunch of great juniors. It's nice knowing them - Ivan, Qi Song, Yi Han, Jia Qi. I interact with them more. :)
Due to some commitments to studies by Gabriel, I was made Chairman, as recommended by Mr Liew. This was what I was told in a small memo given by Ms Lim. Actually, being a Chairman or not, it don't really make a difference in me. I feel that the class still treats one another equally regardless of your status in the class. So, "Chairman" is just a name, not really something to be very proud of. :)
Attended my second Student Council camp this year. I was dai di and dai di and dai di throughout the whole night with Wai Yau and Don. But eventually, both of them were dropped dead. I am still awake, but still have that sleeping temptation. xP Too bad, my juniors all slept at the camp. But it was a great night. :)
Teacher's Day was indeed a meaningful one. It was my first time seeing the class really bond together to make it a memorable one for our teachers. I think Xue Li should be credited. :)
That was our last celebration in Yuan Ching and we had to prepare for our preliminary exams as well as the major 'O' Level exams a month later. It all seemed so long, yet so short. The 'O' Level exams has finally came to a stop for us. We are graduating after 4 years spent here.
In conclusion, I never regretted being posted to Yuan Ching since 4 years ago and never regretted joining the SL 2 years back. :D
